I'd like to thank Ain't it Cool News and Film School Rejects for posting articles about our fundraising efforts! With a science fiction convention being the key setting of the film, we have to create a lot of set pieces and costumes to make it a believable location. There is still a lot of work to be done, but so far the IndieGoGo page has gotten the ball rolling!

Two more brief updates:

Pathogen DVDs are back in stock! Order while they last! The money from the DVD orders also goes toward funding MSTR!

The Retelling in Post-Production

I'm sorry the website has not been updated in a while. Filming started in July 2008, and was finished by the beginning of August 2008. The movie is in post-production, just working on finishing up sound editing. Other than that, the score is the last step. It is being composed by Brian Satterwhite, a friend and local composer. THE RETELLING in Pre-Production

The website is up and we are currently working on pre-production to film the feature. We are budgeting the film to help plan for raising the money we will need to film the movie this summer (July/August.) Another aspect of pre-production we are working on is casting. The following roles need to be cast for the feature:

ZOMBIE GIRL fundraiser: 5/23/06

Zombie Girl, The Movie: I corrected the date for the Zombie Girl the Movie fundraiser...it will be on May 23rd from 7 to 10:30 pm at the Blue Theater in Austin. Vacdoomed will have food and show clips from their movie as well as some clips from Pathogen. Hope to see you there!

Fundraiser for ZOMBIE GIRL

In early May there will be a fundraiser/party for the Behind-the-Scenes doc Zombie Girl: The Movie. Filmmakers Justin and Erik (pictured with Emily above) and Aaron need the money to pay for the rights to use some footage from a commercially-distributed movie (even a few seconds is really expensive). They will show clips from "Zombie Girl, The Movie" and some clips from Pathogen. It should be a lot of fun. We'll keep you posted!

Many thanks to everyone sending us their good vibes and best wishes. We have had numerous requests for information about a web version of the movie or a dvd release date or even more screenings. We hope to make the movie available, hopefully in the next couple of months. Stay tuned to this website and we'll post current information as soon as we have any news.

PATHOGEN: SOLD OUT at the Drafthouse!

Wow! A sold out crowd at the Drafthouse as well as an appreciative audience...could we ask for more? I hardly think so, but there was more! Lots of good press, especially from the wonderful folks at Dread Central. We really cannot thank everyone enough for being so supportive of Emily and her mostly-young cast. Here are some links to Dread Central Reviews as well as other links (I'd like to correct some erroneous info before you read on. The premiere review says that Emily thanked the Texas Film Commission and it was the Texas Filmmakers Production Fund which is sponsored by the Austin Film Society. The Rotten Zombie interview lists Emily's name as "Hagans"...I think most everyone knows it is Hagins, but just in case you do a web search...).

Have you seen King Kong yet? Emily has seen it 3 times ... so far ...and loves it! We bought the Production Diaries for Peter Jackson's King Kong, first shown on the fansite, Kongisking.net. I just had to write an email to the folks at kongisking.net, and guess what!?!, when they got my e-mail, KongisKing posted it and put in a link to Pathogen and this web site has gotten over 500 hits in one day! By all means, see King Kong and if you love it and are an aspiring filmmaker of any age, the (Limited Edition) Production Diaries set is a must-have!KongisKing.net talks about Pathogen and how Peter Jackson inspired Emily!

Pathogen receives a Texas Filmmakers Production Fund Grant!

Principal filming was completed in June!
The principal shooting took about a week and a half.
Pick up shots will be completed this summer.
Almost all the pick up shots are done.
Editing has already begun.
I have already finished a rough cut of the entire movie it just doesn't have good sound, music, and a few other things.

I’ve started a blog over on Blogspot specifically for my new project, My Sucky Teen Romance. Why have a blog separate from this site? Well, the biggest reason is that it means more Google hits (since Google owns Blogspot). On top of that, if you just want updates on MSTR, you and all of your friends can do so very easily.
