Zombie Girl, The Movie: I corrected the date for the Zombie Girl the Movie fundraiser...it will be on May 23rd from 7 to 10:30 pm at the Blue Theater in Austin. Vacdoomed will have food and show clips from their movie as well as some clips from Pathogen. Hope to see you there!

In early May there will be a fundraiser/party for the Behind-the-Scenes doc Zombie Girl: The Movie. Filmmakers Justin and Erik (pictured with Emily above) and Aaron need the money to pay for the rights to use some footage from a commercially-distributed movie (even a few seconds is really expensive). They will show clips from "Zombie Girl, The Movie" and some clips from Pathogen. It should be a lot of fun. We'll keep you posted!

Wow! A sold out crowd at the Drafthouse as well as an appreciative audience...could we ask for more? I hardly think so, but there was more! Lots of good press, especially from the wonderful folks at Dread Central. We really cannot thank everyone enough for being so supportive of Emily and her mostly-young cast. Here are some links to Dread Central Reviews as well as other links (I'd like to correct some erroneous info before you read on. The premiere review says that Emily thanked the Texas Film Commission and it was the Texas Filmmakers Production Fund which is sponsored by the Austin Film Society. The Rotten Zombie interview lists Emily's name as "Hagans"...I think most everyone knows it is Hagins, but just in case you do a web search...).

Ain't It Cool News posted an article about our Drafthouse Screening. on March 25, from 4 to 6 pm. Since the AICN article appeared, Emily's received tons of emails congratulating her and wishing her well...we'd like to share those kind thoughts with everyone who helped Emily with Pathogen! Have you seen King Kong yet? Emily has seen it 3 times ... so far ...and loves it! We bought the Production Diaries for Peter Jackson's King Kong, first shown on the fansite, Kongisking.net. I just had to write an email to the folks at kongisking.net, and guess what!?!, when they got my e-mail, KongisKing posted it and put in a link to Pathogen and this web site has gotten over 500 hits in one day! By all means, see King Kong and if you love it and are an aspiring filmmaker of any age, the (Limited Edition) Production Diaries set is a must-have!KongisKing.net talks about Pathogen and how Peter Jackson inspired Emily!
